Race your ownthoroughbreds.
Homestretch is a horse racing simulation. Buy or breed a horse, enter it where it fits, and watch it run. A race goes to post every five minutes, and every result stays on the record.
There is always a race about to run.
36 races are on the card at any moment, across four tracks. Red marks have closed and go next. Blue ones are still taking entries, and any of them could be yours.

Every start goes on the record.
Each race is charted call by call and given a speed figure, so form can be read the way a real horse’s is. Speed, stamina and a liking for a surface are inherited, and the pedigree shows where they came from.

Four tracks, drawn to scale.
Aqueduct, Belmont Park, Saratoga and Santa Anita, sized from the real courses. A mile and a half of dirt gives a closer room to run; a chute off the backstretch makes a sprint one straight line. Where a race is held decides who it suits.
What it costs and what it pays.
The first five home share the purse, and it reaches the owner’s wallet when the result is official.
